#Does the amt emulator work driver#
ImpactĪs a result of the firmware enhancement, management consoles that were built using sample code for API calls to the Intel CSME firmware that go through the Intel® MEI driver from releases of the Intel AMT SDK prior to version 12.0 may encounter issues when utilizing Intel AMT functionality with platforms using Intel® CSME 12. firmware was updated to no longer accept incorrect parameter values, and the SDK MEI samples were updated in the Release 12.0 SDK to send the correct parameter values. This bug did not affect functionality because the firmware did not validate the parameter. The parameter was the Length field in the PTHI_MESSAGE_HEADER struct, which incorrectly included the length of the message header, instead of specifying the length of the message payload only. BackgroundĪ bug in the SDK MEI samples caused a wrong parameter value to be sent to the firmware. Following the enhancement, the SDK samples were updated in the Intel AMT Release 12.0 SDK so that they would function correctly with the new process. firmware included an enhancement of the process that validates input parameters for Intel® MEI commands. Old Intel® AMT SDK sample code that calls Intel® Converged Security and Management Engine (Intel® CSME) APIs through the Intel® Management Engine Interface (Intel® MEI) driver not working with Intel CSME 12. and later, 802.1x functionality is available also when a static IP address is configured. Prior to release 12., 802.1x functionality is unavailable when a static IP address is configured.
Feature Enhancement: 802.1x with Static IP
